Because we house hundreds of immune-suppressed patients and families in communal living environments—and work with and within hospitals that are on the front lines of treating the coronavirus—our Oregon Ronald McDonald Houses and Hospitality à la Carte Programs are uniquely vulnerable to the spread of this virus.

To reduce the possibility of infection, we are temporarily halting all in-house and in-hospital volunteer programs, and closing all four Oregon Ronald McDonald Houses to volunteers and visitors.

We will continue housing pediatric patient families, and supporting the health and safety of our guests and staff through rigorous health screenings, increased systematic daily cleaning and disinfecting, and posted signs to promote hand washing.

However, this temporary disruption in programming will leave our guests without many of the resources that they have come to count on from RMHC, including daily meals through our Meals from the Heart program.

We appreciate your support and are grateful for your understanding during this complex and evolving worldwide change.
