WHAT WE DO
Keeping families together while kids receive hospital treatment
Our Portland and Bend Ronald McDonald Houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child—not where they will get their next meal or where they will sleep. Our volunteers remove the stress of everyday life by keeping our Houses beautiful, our kitchens full and our children entertained. Volunteering with us is an enriching experience not only for our volunteers, but for the thousands of families who walk through our doors.
There are many ways to get involved! New volunteers, please fill out the form below and a volunteer coordinator will be in touch with you shortly.
How often can I volunteer?
We have so many volunteer opportunities. You can commit to a weekly or monthly shift, or volunteer periodically as you are able, or help us out with event-specific opportunities.
Can I bring my kids with me?
Some volunteer opportunities have specific age requirements (volunteers must be at least 13, for example, to work in the kitchen). Once we know how you’d like to volunteer with us, our Volunteer Manager will be able to answer questions specific to the people in your family or volunteer group.
I want to help, but I’m not sure where I’ll be most useful.
No problem! Fill out the volunteer questionnaire below and we’ll match you with the opportunities that make the most sense for your skills, interests and availability. We will also provide you with all of the training you’ll need to help us support children and families.
