WHAT WE DO
Keeping families together while kids receive hospital treatment
A family with a seriously ill child can spend long hours and many days at the hospital. At these times, simple comforts can be hard to come by — a toothbrush, a cookie, or a toy to play with.
Launched in 2017 and led by volunteers, our Hospitality a la Carte program provides children and families with access to hot coffee, cookies, coloring books, games and more — all at no cost. Since its inception, the program has provided support and care to more than 7,730 children and families.
Coming this summer, we are excited to announce the expansion of our Hospitality a la Carte program at Oregon Health & Science University and Salem Health! With this expansion across the state, the Hospitality a la Carte program will reach thousands of more families and gives us a way to extend the warmth and friendliness we’re known for beyond the walls of our three Oregon Ronald McDonald Houses. The program is also a conversation-starter: a way to spread the word about who we are, what we do, and how we help families in need.
