Programs Inside our Houses
Providing our Families with a Comforting Place to Call Home
After a long day at the hospital, we want nothing more than to make our families feel welcome and comfortable in our Houses. The smell of a home-cooked meal, a visit from a fluffy therapy pet, or a warm smile from a volunteer can make all the difference. That’s why our programs are such a vital part of our organization, helping us provide our families with everything that makes a house a home.
Our Houses are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child—not where they will get their next meal or where they will sleep. Our amazing volunteers remove the stress of everyday life by keeping our Houses beautiful, our kitchens full, and our children entertained.
Our amazing volunteers help in ways like: arts and crafts classes, baking, event support, Fun Junction, guest transportation, game nights, housekeeping, language translation, massage therapy, Meals from the Heart, pet therapy, photography, front desk and facilities support, grocery shopping, grief support, and data entry. And our volunteers not only include those in our Houses, they also include our board members, committee members, professional service volunteers, and event volunteers.
Thank you to all the volunteers that helped us provide a home away from home for thousands of families every year, we couldn’t do it without you!
