2020 Hockey Challenge Kid Captain
In 2016, Ashlyn was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age six. Ashlyn’s diagnosis completely changed the family’s everyday life – from having to make the 2.5 hour drive to Portland for chemotherapy treatments and doctor’s visits, to Ashlyn not being able to attend school on a regular basis. In addition to their initial five-week stay, Ashlyn and her family have spent many nights at RMHC for her appointments. They were so grateful to have a comfortable place to stay together as a family and especially loved the warm dinners, stuffed animals, and craft room.
Ashlyn has such a generous heart, she hosted a coin drive to benefit RMHC in 2018! She is an inspiration to everyone around her.
