Our Partnership with McDonald’s

Since the first Ronald McDonald House was opened in Philadelphia in 1974, McDonald’s has played a vital and continuing role of Founding Mission Partner by supporting RMHC chapters across the world. In 1984, the effort of local McDonald’s franchisees served as a catalyst that sparked the creation of our very own Oregon & SW Washington Chapter.

From the moment we opened the doors of our first Oregon Ronald McDonald House, the Oregon Consolidated co-op, their supplier, employees, and customers have helped RMHC of Oregon & SW Washington to provide stability and critical resources to families receiving care in our communities. Our local McDonald’s Owner/Operators continue to be cherished leaders and supporters, contributing 11-13% of our annual budget each year through a wide variety of fundraising efforts. Today, thanks to this inspiring decades-long partnership, their dedicated volunteerism, funding, and in-kind support RMHC of Oregon & SW Washington is stronger than ever.
