Located on the campus of Randall Children’s Hospital, this vital, supportive home has faithfully served thousands of children and families during the most challenging times. Our newly remodeled House includes:

  • Expanded, fully upgraded ADA-accessible kitchen
  • Five new short-term stay guest suites to serve more families
  • A complete renovation of all 25 existing guest suites
  • Fully updated and modernized common spaces
  • Essential structural improvements (HVAC, fire system, and more)
  • Beautiful new murals to brighten and inspire
  • Exterior upgrades for a welcoming first impression

Our newly remodeled House has all the amenities to make you feel at home, including:

  • 25 guest suites with private bathrooms and fully stocked linens, towels, and toiletries.
  • 5 short-term stay suites.
  • Free food including access to an expansive in-House food pantry, a grab and go snack bar and a weekly meal calendar including free family dinners at least three nights/week.
  • Weekly program offerings that can include music, guided crafts, pet-assisted therapy and themed meals
  • Access to beautiful common spaces within the House including a game room, sitting areas, a beautiful multi-family kitchen, dining area, and cozy library.
  • Outdoor spaces featuring two playgrounds, communal vegetable gardens, outdoor barbeques, and flower garden.
  • Plenty of toys for indoor and outdoor play.
  • 24-hour staffing and daily “concierge” services provided by staff and volunteers.

A home is more than a place to stay: it's a sanctuary.

At our Ronald McDonald House: Portland East, you and your family have a private room where you can stay together, comfort each other, and find peace together.  Our rooms can fit as many as six family members for the duration of your stay. This isn’t a hotel – it’s your home away from home and we have all the amenities you might need including:

  • Televisions, tablets, microwaves, and small refrigerators in every guest room.
  • Full on-site laundry facilities.
  • Free Wi-Fi throughout the House.
  • Library and business center with free computer access
  • A community kitchen available to make homecooked meals.
  • Private cabinet and refrigerator space to store food.
  • A community of support – our volunteers and staff are here to make your life as comfortable as possible. We’re in your corner.
